Job Summary

At West, Taiwan DTC (Digital Technology Center), we view the Software QA role as key to the whole Taiwan DTC's success. That is why we are looking for a special new team member and why we offer unique benefits.

You will join a team of committed and accountable individuals who help and respect each other. This team is also a fan of self-organized processes. We build and design many work processes with a whole-team effort, including how we interview candidates, train newcomers, how we do job transition within the team, how we do test differently in different projects, how we train ourselves new testing skills...etc.

You will work in a well-managed office in a modern office building in the prime location of Taichung city, with ergonomic and well-equipped workstations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Possess two or more years of software testing experience
• Proven knowledge to create manual and automated test coverage for software products
• Know how to code in Python and some Node.js
• Know how to do version control with Git commands
• Possess knowledge in modern computer system architecture, cloud technology, and database
• Proactively communicate with developers, fellow QA engineers, and other stake holders to ensure quality in products and processes
• Actively participate in cross-team technical discussion
• Know how to work in a fast-paced environment; utilize sound judgement to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and importance
• Possess a strong level of curiosity, interest, and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly

Additional Responsibilities

Education

• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Experience: Prior related work experience minimum 3 years. 5+ years preferred.
• Programming: Python, Node.js
• Language: Fluent in Mandarin, comfortable to communicate in English for reading, writing, and speaking

Work Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. required

• Robot framework
• Azure DevOps
• Container technology, e.g., Docker
• Agile development
• IoT technology
• IoT application design and implementation
• IoT device connectivity
• Possess programming concept of multi-threading and concurrency
• Worked in a global and virtual environment
• Performance testing or ever used Gatling
• Used AI to help testing or coding

License and Certifications

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
