This is an onsite position.

Job Summary

In this role, you will perform technical tasks within a laboratory setting to analyze and test the electro-mechanical functionality of West products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manual evaluation of incubated agar media as part of bioburden testing and microbiological environmental monitoring
  • Documentation and processing of test results in SAP as well as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Support in the preparation of reports (e.g., in-house microbial flora list)
  • Preparation of samples for internal microbiological identification
  • Internal and external communication (e.g., with laboratory service providers)
  • GMP-compliant documentation of all work steps
  • Support with laboratory organization, material preparation, and cleaning activities
  • Performance of additional supporting tasks as required

 

For candidates with completed vocational training or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant natural science:

 

  • Performance of preparatory work for microbial count determination of process water and incoming goods inspection
  • Conducting document reviews
  • Result verification according to the four-eyes principle
  • Release testing of finished products

Education

  • Ongoing studies in microbiology, biology, biotechnology, or a comparable field of study

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Careful and structured working style
  • Interest in working in a regulated GMP environment
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
