Job Summary

  • Ensuring that the functions of all machines, tools, and equipment within the area of responsibility are guaranteed and comply with the applicable technical requirements.
  • Ensuring that maintenance and repairs on tools, and where applicable, machines and equipment are carried out in a quality‑conscious, timely, cost‑efficient, and professional manner, so that the Plastic Production department can manufacture products in good quality, according to specifications, and within the required customer deadlines.
  • Carrying out the tasks assigned within production that correspond to the role, while adhering to quality requirements, manufacturing and work instructions, as well as safety principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing repairs and maintenance inspections
  • Planning, monitoring, and executing projects as well as inspection, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing tools, machines, and equipment
  • Setting up vision systems
  • Setting up tools, production machines, and automated equipment
  • Reporting and resolving process malfunctions and optimizing processes
  • Manufacturing, installing, and adapting replacement and new parts
  • Conducting test series to improve product quality
  • Participating in and supporting LEAN projects
  • Documentation

Education

  • Completed vocational training as an industrial mechanic, plastics processing technician, tool mechanic, or a comparable qualification

Work Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the industrial sector
  • Experience with electro‑pneumatics is desirable

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good MS Office skills
  • Good English skills desirable
  • Willingness to work shifts in a fully continuous shift system
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility
  • High awareness of quality and safety
  • Good communication skills and an independent, thorough working style

  • Ability to work on a fully continuous shift system
