Job Summary
In this role, you are responsible for the timely commissioning, calibration, maintenance, qualification, and requalification of laboratory equipment. A key part of the role is the prompt creation and implementation of corrective measures. You will coordinate repairs and accompany external service providers. Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring the functionality of the equipment. In the event of malfunctions, deviations, or changes, you are responsible for initiating the required actions as part of the established procedures. You are also actively involved in returning equipment to operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Timely commissioning and qualification of laboratory equipment
• Independent commissioning of equipment, including handling repairs and accompanying external service providers
• Assigning, handing over, and returning laboratory equipment to internal customers and external services
• Collaborating with relevant departments and laboratory leads
• Supporting the implementation of necessary CAPA measures
• Documenting relevant deviations and changes related to the equipment, as well as creating handling instructions
• Maintaining laboratory statistics in accordance with current procedures
Education
• Successfully completed vocational training as a chemistry or biology laboratory technician, or as a chemical-technical or biological-technical assistant
Work Experience
- Initial professional experience in a comparable position is desirable
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
• Very good IT application skills (MS Office)
• Basic knowledge of analytical methods and procedures is an advantage
• Basic knowledge in qualification and validation under GMP guidelines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High awareness of quality, service, and customer orientation
• Reliability, resilience, and conscientiousness
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
