Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing the Validation and Testing support. This is a key technical role responsible for the creation of test plan, test cases and test reports for the development activities as per the Customer requirement spec. The role involves hands-on work around validation and testing, quality-oriented validation test and reporting activities across the various projects or programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, process verification and validation methodologies, manufacturing / production process control methodologies, and servicing.
- Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to develop test strategy.
- Work on Design Verification and Validation test activities
- Experience with electronic test equipment
- Perform Design FMEA with guidance for the hardware and software module by discussing with hardware/Software design engineers and principal Architect
- Report defects found during testing on the test management system and track defect status periodically.
- Analyze and troubleshoot root cause problems with the product.
- Successfully communicate appropriate project information to cross functional teams.
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or
- Bachelor's Degree Information systems required
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Software reliability and automation tools.
- Must have understanding on Hardware and Software Development tools.
License and Certifications
Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
