Job Summary
The Regional Marketing Specialist will support the execution of regional marketing initiatives across Japan, Taiwan, Australia & New Zealand, and Southeast Asia where several of these markets operate through distributor channels. Based in Singapore, this role will work closely with Commercial Leadership, Account Managers, Technical Customer Support, Product Management, and global marketing teams to implement programs to drive customer engagement, sales enablement, brand consistency, and business growth. The role is responsible for supporting the Commercial leaders for ROAP with customer-facing marketing materials, coordinating promotional campaigns, assisting with event planning and execution, managing regional communication activities, and ensuring marketing programs are aligned with West’s business priorities, brand standards, and compliance requirements. This position requires strong project coordination skills, attention to detail, cross-cultural communication capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse markets in the Asia Pacific region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of regional B2B marketing activities across Japan, Taiwan, ANZ, and Southeast Asia.
- Partner with Account Managers and regional commercial teams to develop and localize sales enablement materials, customer presentations, product brochures, case studies, digital content, and promotional assets.
- Coordinate regional marketing campaigns that support business objectives, customer engagement, lead generation, product awareness, and account development.
- Assist in planning and executing customer events, trade shows, seminars, webinars, distributor meetings, and internal commercial meetings, including logistics, vendor coordination, invitations, registrations, booth materials, post-event follow-up, and performance reporting.
- Support commercial team in development of local customer segmentation and profile for these markets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
Work Experience
- At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in product marketing, ideally in a B2B role selling technically complex products.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, life sciences, packaging, drug delivery, or other regulated B2B industries.
- Understanding of injectable drug packaging, containment systems, drug delivery systems, biologics, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or healthcare supply chains is preferred.
- Prior experience supporting markets such as Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, or the Philippines is preferred.
- Experience in working with markets that operate through distributor & agent channels.
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM, event management, webinar, or digital campaign platforms.
- Ability to translate technical product information into clear, customer-focused marketing and sales enablement materials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate internal teams, external vendors, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility with Account Managers, commercial leaders, product teams, and global marketing colleagues.
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of how marketing supports pipeline development, customer engagement, account growth, and revenue objectives.
- Analytical capability to evaluate campaign performance, event effectiveness, customer engagement, and marketing return on investment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity when working with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in a regulated and quality-focused environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and appropriate approval of customer-facing materials.
- Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced regional business environment.
