Job Summary
In this role, you will coordinate and expedite the uninterrupted flow of material for the production rooms. The Material Handler will be responsible for providing logistical support for the movement, storage, control and protection of raw materials, supplies, work in process products and finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Handle materials in a safe and orderly manner.
• Assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products.
• Maintain a safe, clean, orderly workstation and environment.
• Maintain proper traceability of raw materials used in the production process.
• Utilize the ERP system to record inventory transactions as they happen in real time. (transact then act)
• Utilize “First In First Out” rules when determining what lots are pulled.
• Follow internal schedules, work orders, sample requests and production specifications to ensure the materials are properly prepared before use.
• Ensure equipment is maintained regularly and is always in good working order. Report any issues to management so they can be addressed evidently.
• Maintain material levels throughout the shift to ensure no process interruptions occur due to a lack of material.
• Assist with scheduling and staging of raw materials to ensure production schedules are met and shipments are ready on time.
• Maintain and organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.
• Clean assigned work centers daily. Assists with warehouse activities as needed.
• Work with team members to meet established goals.
• Conforms with and abides by all company regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste by looking for ways to work smarter, make things safer and faster.
• Contribute to a company culture that champions diversity, appreciates creativity, and facilitates innovation.
• Maintain a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work and maintaining professional high-quality standards.
• Exhibit excellent attendance habits by being punctual and reliable.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by their supervisor or manager.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience
• Experience: 1 year of experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Minimum of 6 months prior materials experience.
• Experience with cGMP practices related to ISO standards and medical device manufacturing.

• Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.
• Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites.
• If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues.
• Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
• The ability to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds at a time.

This shift is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday every other Wednesday 5:00 PM - 5:15 AM
