Job Summary

In this role, you will be integrated within the Lab Engineering team in WIL R&D Lab, reporting to the Lab Engineers Supervisor and dotted line to the Lab Technicians Supervisor. You will be supporting routine WIL R&D Lab activities as part of applicable project requirements in West. You will support ongoing lab testing deliverables including reviewing the obtained results in Lab environment in compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practice) guidelines. In addition, you will perform various testing per provided guidance to support various West platforms and products throughout product lifecycle. As part of this role, you will be able to work with different testing Equipment types, handling with calibration requirements and working with consumables, drug products and other goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting ongoing lab testing deliverables including reviewing the obtained results in Lab environment in compliance with GDP guidelines.
  • Performing various lab testing utilizing lab equipment per provided guidance to support various West platforms and products throughout product lifecycle.
  • Working with dedicated digital SW (such as LIMS) as well as hard copy formats
  • Assist the Lab engineering team in issuing testing related documentation including results analysis.
  • Assist the Lab engineering team in the development of test methods, work instructions, and other as required.
  • Participates in the execution of Gage R&R and qualification of engineering test fixtures, assembly fixtures, test methods used in the development process of medical devices.
  • Working according to Lab procedures following Good Laboratory Practice and Good Documentation Practice.

Education

  • Student of Biomedical Engineering or equivalent filed

Work Experience

  • A similar experience from a medical device company- an advantage

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical experience performing testing on medical devices.
  • This position requires a highly organized person with work ethic.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to perform job duties as required with limited physical demands.
  • Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.
  • Relevant work history and/or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
