Job Summary
To use management, preventive maintenance, and regular inspections of the operational functions of the factory’s thermo‑energetic, thermo‑technical, and process systems and equipment — including steam‑condensation systems, hot‑water systems, the production and distribution of technological and wastewater, and HVAC systems, as well as buildings and facilities — to prevent irregularities, failures, and downtime in the operation of production equipment that could significantly affect product quality at any stage of manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Execution of routine activities from the preventive maintenance plan for equipment.
• Performing complex interventions on equipment with defect detection (repairs of non‑standard equipment and process‑specific equipment).
• Management, operational control, and maintenance of steam and hot‑water boilers with installations and accompanying equipment; systems with installations and equipment for supplying the factory with raw, municipal, softened, PW, and WFI water; cooling systems and devices for cooling production equipment; HVAC devices and systems for air‑conditioning, ventilation, and heating of factory buildings; wastewater systems; and buildings and facilities.
• Maintenance includes regular cleaning of all types of filters and their replacement as needed, regular chemical cleaning of reverse osmosis systems, regeneration of reverse osmosis softeners, regular cleaning of equipment parts and installations, replacement of equipment components across all systems, etc.
• Strict compliance with the company’s internal procedures and technical regulations.
• Operation of the factory BMS system.
• In the absence of the boiler operator, and upon instruction from a supervisor, assumes part of their duties.
• Participates in equipment overhauls in the factory as an executor or team leader.
• Works with external contractors and service technicians.
• Assists other direct maintenance personnel during equipment maintenance, in accordance with personal competencies.
• Maintains the cleanliness and order of the workplace, maintenance workshop, and auxiliary facilities.
• Uses the powered electric pallet truck as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs all tasks in accordance with company procedures in the areas of occupational health and safety, environmental protection, fire protection, and other applicable legal regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Level III – at minimum a Secondary Mechanical School), with a passed ATK exam.
- The employee must have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in the profession, or a minimum of 2 years of experience at West Pharmaceutical Services in the same or similar roles.
- General medical fitness.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Communication skills – able to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written form.
• Teamwork – aware of the role of a team player and the role of a team leader.
• Knowledge of work processes and technological procedures.
• Ability to cover multiple non‑process areas in the factory (water production, boiler room, cooling systems, heating systems).
