Job Summary

The responsibility of this team member will be to perform Preventive Maintenance task throughout the West Kinston facility on equipment based on scheduled PM. This team member will work closely with Maintenance Coordinator to ensure all PM task are completed on time and within allotted time. This individual must be able to work in high temperature areas, work off hours as needed and be mechanically minded with ability to troubleshoot and identify issues. Must be able to make needed repairs not listed on PM documents. Able to work alone or in a team setting. The use of good housekeeping practices will be required to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe operational area to produce the expected quality of product established by West.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely completion of PMs plantwide.
Enter work orders for needing repairs.
Recommend needed repairs.
Maintain required paperwork.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment throughout the maintenance department
Instruct, train, guide and assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.

Education

High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Preventive Maintenance.

Good computer skills and good organizational skills required.

Must be able to work effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schedules, diagrams, and procedure manuals
Ability to work weekends and overtime as required
Experience in medical device industry or other regulated industry

Travel Requirements

None: No travel required

Physical Requirements

Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.

Additional Requirements

Must be able to wear and use a full-face respirator
Stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift
Willing to work overtime as needed
Frequent bilateral grip/grasp and manual dexterity work required
Frequent bending and twisting, squatting, pushing and pulling and working at elevated heights and in confined spaces as required by the job
Must be able to tolerate industrial odors, heat and high temperatures, and smells on a frequent basis

This position is 8 Hours, Monday - Friday some Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays required as needed. 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
