Job Summary

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems and utility equipment to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical utilities and facility equipment such as chillers, boilers, and air compressor systems.
  • Carry out hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), pumps, and other HVAC systems.
  • Oversee cleanroom environmental conditions and ensure all cleanroom zones (05, 07, and 08) operate within specified limits.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant, including purified water (PW), water for injection (WFI), clean steam generation (CSG), and RO systems.
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
  • Execute calibration support and assist validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for utility systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with cGMP, and data integrity requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks, SOPs, and maintenance records.
  • Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and change control processes.
  • Coordinate with QA, production, and external vendors for maintenance and validation activities.
  • Follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and permit-to-work systems strictly.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Operate and monitor Building Management System (BMS) for utilities and facility equipment.

Education

  • Diploma / ITE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities and utilities maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Familiarity with critical utility systems such as PW, WFI, clean steam, and HVAC.
  • Basic knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, and control systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiar with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.
  • Able to work on shifts and respond to emergencies when required.
  • Preferred EMA Electrical License
  • Boilerman License

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to work in controlled/cleanroom environments

Physical Requirements

Heavy-Exerting up to 100lbs/45kg of force occasionally and/or up to 50lb/22kg of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force constantly to move objects.

Shift

2-2-3 shift, 7am to 715pm
