Job Summary
This is a fixed term contract of 15 months with completion bonus.
In this role you will be responsible for the FP&A & costing of the Singapore Plant and other entities assigned (i.e. Taiwan and Australia) and financial accounting activities of the Taiwan office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A) Financial Analysis & Planning
- Drive the forecasting and budgeting process and ensure timely completion of the forecast and annual budget for entities responsible for.
- Provide insightful analysis, dashboards and recommendations to improve the profitability
- Support operations projects in the various sites by providing any costing and business impact information.
- Support the calculations and understanding of the various site KPIs results/plans.
- Drive continuous improvements throughout all areas of work.
B) Costing & Inventory Management
- Preparation and maintenance of standard costs
- Analysis of variances between actuals, forecast, budget and prior year.
- Cost estimates and analysis of business impacts for new products / formulations.
- Ensure that monthly Corporate timelines are adhered to with a high level of accuracy.
C) Project Expenditure Requisition (PER) / Fixed Asset Management
- Review capital requests and provide various input/support for business case.
- Work with various stakeholders to ensure PER is submitted timely for approval.
- Monitor monthly capital spending and monthly capital budget reporting
- Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the Annual Capital Budget is approved.
D) Others
- Responsible for the Fixed Asset management
- Support in projects and incentive programs (such as EDB grants) analysis and review and handle related queries
- Support for the accounting and compliance activities in the Taiwan office including ensuring that adequate checks and controls are in place.
- For Taiwan business, monitoring and manage cashflows to meet the organization need.
- Review and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act.
- Lead, support & motivate the team, as well as develop them.
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or similar qualifications
Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a factory environment with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong excel and report development & financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- SAP experience
- FP&A experience in a Global MNC
- Accounting and financial reporting experience in a Global MNC
- Strong interpersonal skills ie able to work across functions as well as across countries.
- Experience in supervising team members.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description and ensure team members comply with such policies.
- Support and contribute in continuous improvement activities.
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
