Do you want to play a key role in the automation development of pharmaceutical production? At West Pharmaceutical Services Danmark ApS, you will have the chance to work with plant, automation and process optimization at a high level.

About the position

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be part of a strong interdisciplinary team, where you will have a great influence on both the direction and development of our automation strategy. You will help analyze potentials, design future solutions and ensure that our production is always one step ahead – both technologically and in terms of quality.

We are "our own customer", which means that your solutions have a direct impact on operations, quality and long-term development on the site.

There will be no travel days in addition to optional courses to maintain your knowledge and skills in the automation area. There will also be no support outside normal working hours. The working hours are flexible, and it is possible to work from home to some extent.

Your responsibilities and qualifications

Your responsibilities

With direct reference to the Head of Process Engineering in Horsens, your tasks will include the following:

• Strategic Automation and Technological Development
  You map the factory's machinery and identify optimization opportunities that support a targeted automation roadmap towards Industry 4.0 / 5.0.
• Project management and plant modification
  You will lead projects that increase product quality and process stability, and you will ensure that plants meet technical requirements and legislation, including safety standards.
• CAPEX and technical documentation
  You will oversee the preparation of tender documents / Equipment Requirement Specifications (ERS) and participate in major investment projects.
• Collaboration and professional sparring
  You work closely with both global colleagues, local technicians and external suppliers. You will be a natural sparring partner in our automation environment.

Professional qualifications

• You are a trained engineer, marine engineer or automation technologist
• You should be familiar with Siemens STEP 7, WIN CC FLEX, TIA V13-V20, Wincc unified, Simotion Scout and PM Control/Quality/Analyze. Other programming languages may also be relevant
• You have a minimum of 7 years of practical experience, and you are used to taking independent responsibility for your field of expertise
• You are fluent in Danish and English in writing and speech
• You generally have good IT skills and are excited to investigate new technologies
