This is an onsite position requiring the team member to be onsite 5 days a week.

 

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist supports all aspects of payroll and benefits, including the payroll process, benefits administration, payroll documentation, and inquiries related to pensions, health insurance, and bonus payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Timely payroll processing and ensuring that SAP is updated with all relevant changes
  • Optimization and streamlining of internal workflows and processes within the payroll area
  • Management of HR’s annual cycle in relation to salary adjustments, bonus payments, vacation regulations, share programs, and company car administration in full compliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Ensuring accurate time and attendance registration
  • Supporting processes to ensure that all new hires, terminations, and promotions are handled accurately and in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the timely and professional resolution of employee-related payroll inquiries
  • Monitoring changes in employees’ tax information
  • Analyzing and organizing systematic reporting within the HR area. Contributing to the preparation of the annual salary plan and timeline in coordination with payroll delivery
  • Reviewing annual salary reports and performing reconciliations
  • Ensuring correct, up-to-date registration and processing of master data
  • Reporting mandatory information to authorities such as Statistics Denmark, the Confederation of Danish Industry, and other legal partners

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree within a commercial field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, etc.)
  • Alternatively, you have completed vocational training (e.g., office assistant or office administration) combined with relevant professional experience

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Finance or HR department and experience handling complex payroll tasks is a key success factor for the role

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fluent written and spoken Danish and English at negotiation level
  • Advanced user of payroll-related software such as SAP
  • Experience partnering with external payroll providers (e.g., ADP)
  • Advanced user of MS Office tools (especially Excel and Word)
  • Open and curious about automation and digitalization. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience in friendly and professional handling and proactive follow-up of employee inquiries (especially hourly and salaried employees) is an advantage
  • You set high standards for your own performance and take responsibility for the successful execution and completion of tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and within the HR team

Pay Transparency:

The annual base salary range for this position is kr492,500.00 - kr626,800.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.

This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
