Job Summary

  • In this role, as Subject matter expert, you will be responsible to support key Procurement Operations activities and for overseeing the operational aspects of our procurement process, ensuring seamless communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • The role primarily involves managing the conversion of requisitions to purchase orders, handling queries related to purchase process, and maintaining accurate records of procurement activities.
  • This role primarily involves partnering in a variety of cross functional projects that have impact to the strategic sourcing, procurement and finance operations organization and require project management ability, understanding of operational and financial systems.
  • This role will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our Strategic Sourcing organization objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Centralization and Standardization: Execute migration of site sourcing and category management tactical activities to centralized Procurement Operations. Stabilization and Process excellence Definition.
  • Support in managing and delivering transformation initiatives.
  • Supporting the Global Strategic Sourcing team to identify, develop, and implement best value source of supply for each commodity under their responsibility.
  • Support positive relationships with suppliers, resolve queries and improve service levels to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains effective stakeholder relationships and gains their trust and respect.
  • Purchase Order Management: Administer all activities related to PO requisition process and ensure policy and procedure compliance.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions to Requisitioner.
  • Exception handling and Goods/Service Entry Receipts (SER) Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices and purchase orders.
  • Master Data - Information Records Update: Regularly update system information records to maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier pricing and other information and ensure that all changes and updates comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers and amendments when required.
  • Data and Analytics, Reporting and Documentation: Support Global Strategic Sourcing of reporting systems such as SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, WD App and continuously improve end-to-end processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in procurement operations.
  • Understand and have a good knowledge of the local landscape of the supply market for goods and services in terms of supplier base, technologies, competitive environment, market trends and cost drivers.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers. Understand and negotiate the structure and terms of common contracts and business models.
  • Identify and assess risks and benefits of sourcing decisions and clearly present proposals to mitigate risks collaboratively, ensuring sustained product supply-quality-compliance.
  • Contribute to the annual budget process by providing reliable cost estimates and realistic forecasts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Partnering with Sourcing leadership team and in alignment with global objective, procurement transformation and digital road map, lead or support key sourcing and procurement program, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.
  • Measure project progress using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. Applies consistent project management approaches and processes, reports roadblocks and variances to project plan, ensure projects are on schedule and achieve stated objectives.
  • Support, lead Facilitation of the cross-functional Governance Forums, Change Management and Process continuous Improvement.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field required or equivalent work experience. 
  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field preferred or equivalent work experience. 

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years Related business experience required
  • Minimum 5 years medical device manufacturing experience preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and project management skills.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in SAP (MM) and MS Office.

License and Certifications

  • Manufacturing\Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Upon Hire preferred
  • Health Services\CPM - Certification By The Institute For Supply Management Upon Hire preferred

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
