Job Summary

The Manager, Strategic Account Growth, West Vantage will play a key role in driving the growth, performance, and strategic development of a major drug delivery global account. Responsible for supporting the account strategy and long-term commercial growth plans, this individual will combine strong customer engagement capabilities with robust analytical and financial acumen to identify opportunities, inform decision-making, and deliver value for both the customer and West. Reporting to and partnering the Director, Strategic Growth, for this global account, this is a senior individual contributor role suited to a commercially minded professional who is equally comfortable engaging with customers and navigating complex data, pricing analyses, and cost models. Success in the position will require a balance of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and customer-centric problem solving, with the ability to uncover growth opportunities, influence stakeholders, and support the execution of account plans that drive long-term business results. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of relationship-building skills and analytical expertise, enabling them to serve as a trusted partner to both the customer and internal teams while helping shape the future growth trajectory of this strategic global account.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Proactively manage customer pricing activities, providing key insights and recommendations to inform pricing strategy, profitability, and growth decisions

Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and pricing models for existing and future customer programs, leveraging data-driven analysis to support commercial decision-making

Oversee and lead the preparation and delivery of complex project quotations

Manage complex customer financial reconciliation processes, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies

Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization

Act as a deputy to the Director, Strategic Growth, representing West in internal and customer-facing meetings and discussions as required

Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate customer activities

Support contract negotiations for newly awarded customer programs, contributing commercial, financial, and strategic expertise throughout the process

Coordinate and contribute to customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including the development of commercial proposals, business cases, and supporting analyses

Support the annual West Vantage Strategic Planning process and related initiatives, contributing to Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs)

Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of customer governance meetings and business reviews

Identify, evaluate, and communicate commercial opportunities, market insights, and business recommendations that support account growth and strengthen the customer partnership

 

 

Education

Bachelors Degree 

Device Manufacturing or a business/finance/marketing discipline

 

Additional Responsibilities

Work Experience

Prefer 8 plus years minimum related pharmaceutical and/or medical industry experience

Previous experience with financial modeling and strategic plan development and commercial roles

Previous experience managing multidisciplinary projects through execution

Strong business acumen with creative problem-solving skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Skilled in communicating and presenting at an executive level internally and externally

Able to operate with significant autonomy; self-starter and a decision maker

Ability to prioritize and deliver high quality, accurate work within the required timeline

Interpersonal and influencing skills to foster collaboration and success in a matrix, global environment

 

License and Certifications

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Additional Requirements

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and with occasional international travel
