Job Summary
In this role, the Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for the efficient coordination and management of all procurement, warehousing, and planning for the Indiana location. Manager, Supply Chain will develop the supply chain management strategy and build the processes which will guarantee the efficient movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-progress inventory, and all finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. Plant planning, procurement and Warehouse functions will report directly to the Manager, Supply Chain. This role will be part of the leadership team of the site. The Indiana facility is a new facility for West and the Manger, Supply chain will be part of a new team focusing on ramping a state of the art manufacturing facility from the ground up. This individual must be skilled in the technical aspects of supply chain, but also show initative and ownership while helping shape a safe, efficient, and high performing workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the West, Indiana site to manage costs, mitigate risk, ensure quality, minimize customer lead times and manage inventories.
- Strategically develop production plans in coordination with the Regional Planner/s and direct plant personnel in the execution of the approved plans --- following their review and approval at the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting.
- Adheres to monthly S&OP schedule in providing inputs & managing outputs and participates in all required production and supply chain/customer meetings.
- Directs the teams that develop and executes production, inventory, and material plans.
- Collaborates with the regional planner & demand analyst to understand customer demand and market drivers to facilitate a balancing of capacity (tool, machine and labor), inventory and delivery lead-time in the development of the production plan.
- Executes Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for key resources (tools, machine, labor and material) to establish that the Production Plan is achievable and to recommend the need for additional resources.
- Create structure, develop personnel, give direction, integrate/leverage global capabilities, and hold team members accountable
- Continuously develop/enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes. Implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory and vendor management.
- Provides strategic direction and guidance in planning for conversations related to purchasing of raw materials.
- Manages the customer order cycle and communication between plant, headquarters, and the customer.
- Monitors manufacturing lead times and delivery performance to assure targeted customer service levels are being achieved.
- Leads effective product transfer plans and supports database coordinator to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the ERP and MES data.
- Support and contribute to Lean/Six Sigma programs and activities
- Serve as a member of the site leadership team and participate in the decision-making process.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. required
Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years Minimum 8 years of experience in production environment required
- Relevant work history and/or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working in a regulated evoroinment preferrably with prior drug handling experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in ERP, SAP or Priority software an advantage
