Job Summary
The finance assistant is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager of Korea. This role will have direct responsibility for accurate and timely reporting for West Korea.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accounting, Finance, Tax and Administrative/operation duties
- Journal preparation with supporting documentation
- Assist for Closing (Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly) - Assist for Forecast / Budget / Audit)
- Manage bank statement postings and reconciliation of the bank accounts.
- Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
- Assist Finance manager to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, adhering to Group reporting deadlines.
- Tax compliance including VAT, WHT, etc.
- Support Finance manager to manage the accounts payable and the accounts receivable.
- Posting of all Fixed Asset related entries, including depreciation, revaluations, write-offs, and provisions
- Collaborating with FP&A group and other departments for regular reporting and analysis, ad-hoc requirement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above or equivalent experience (Preferred Accounting, Finance Business administration or relevant major)
Work Experience
- Accounting or equivalent 3~5 experience years
- Experience using SAP tools
- Fluent spoken and written in both Korean and English
- Flexible and adaptable in handling various tasks with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS office
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding on local statutory reporting
- Ability to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to effectively multitask.
- Resolve discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
- Able and aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy and as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy and quality policy.
