Job Summary

In this role, you will support the end-to-end procurement contract lifecycle process, including contract intake, contract administration, redlining support, workflow management, contract execution, reporting, and governance activities. You will serve as a key resource for Procurement, Legal, Finance, Risk, Quality, and business stakeholders by helping ensure contracts are processed efficiently, comply with company policies, and support business objectives. The role will also support the administration and continuous improvement of West's Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, including contract templates, metadata management, workflow administration, reporting, and user support. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in developing expertise in commercial contracting, contract operations, and CLM administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end procurement contract lifecycle process, including intake, contract review, approval routing, execution, storage, reporting, and renewal management.
  • Perform first-level review and redlining of standard procurement agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), software agreements, consulting agreements, and supplier contracts.
  • Review contracts against approved playbooks and templates and identify non-standard terms for escalation.
  • Assist with negotiations of standard commercial and operational contract provisions within established guidelines.
  • Coordinate contract review and approval workflows across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Risk, Quality, and business stakeholders.
  • Support administration of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, including metadata management, user support, workflow maintenance, reporting, and system governance activities.
  • Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, intake forms, and workflow documentation.
  • Support contract repository management and ensure contract records, metadata, and supporting documentation remain accurate and complete.
  • Monitor contract milestones, renewals, expiration dates, and obligations to support compliance and business continuity.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support procurement contracting operations and business stakeholder needs.
  • Assist with user training, process documentation, and CLM knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support CLM implementations, migrations, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests related to contract records and contracting processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field preferred.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years related business experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, legal operations, sourcing, contract administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience reviewing and administering commercial agreements.
  • Experience working with contract lifecycle management systems or document management platforms.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of commercial contract terms and contracting processes.
  • Strong written communication and contract review skills.
  • Ability to identify contractual risk and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional organization.
  • Experience working with CLM systems, workflows, metadata, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and evaluate supplier and contractual risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract management technologies.
  • Experience supporting a diverse set of categories including Technology, Services, equipment and supply agreements.

License and Certifications

  • Professional certification in contract management preferred, such as NCMA CPCM, NCMA CFCM, WorldCC/IACCM certification, or equivalent.

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
