Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for performing testing of products for internal and external customers using a variety of analytical techniques. You may be assisting in developing procedures for instrumentation, test instructions, and test reports. You may coordinate the day-to-day receipt and shipment of samples in the laboratory and support the Laboratory team in administration and quality systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis using various techniques including established and experimental test methods. 
  • Use instrumentation both qualitatively and quantitatively where appropriate.
  • With guidance assist in completing projects from protocol to final report. 
  • Train analysts as appropriate. 
  • Develop and validate methods with guidance.
  • Keep current with new analytical technology.
  • Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Employ QC analytical techniques including but not limited to spectroscopy and chromatography, titrations, or visual and functional testing.
  • Assist in preparation of work instructions, SOPs, technical reports, and qualification documentation.
  • Assist in lab study design and preparation in study plans and protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques.
  • Perform lab investigations, OOS, and OOT as required.
  • Meet individual and departmental goals as required.
  • Apply required cGMP regulations and internal QA procedures
  • Adhere to established laboratory safety procedures
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals as well as limited biological compounds
  • Other duties as assigned #LI-AP1 #LI-HYBRID

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or a relevant scientific field preferred

Work Experience

  • No minimum experience required
  • Experience working in a laboratory or cGMP/pharmaceutical environment preferred
  • Laboratory administrative/Coordinator/Analyst role preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • cGMP
  • Tensile, force, compression or other compendial physical testing experience. Instron and/or Bluehill software knowledge is a plus
  • Wet chemistry knowledge and techniques such as Pipetting, Titrations, and Extractions
  • Spectroscopy and/or Chromatographic knowledge
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

Travel Requirements

5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.
