JOB SUMMARY

In this hybrid position (3 days in office/2 days remote), the Manager Product Supply Planning has the end-to-end accountability, executing the short to long-term planning horizon for global supply of a set of products across a global network of manufacturing sites to ensure excellent customer service. This role is the owner for the global supply of these products and is a key partner to Customer Success, Commercial, Demand Planning and Operations ensuring supply chain performance. As the key point of contact for a strategic product family, the role will be leader in a global SIOP process, oversees exception management to inventory, capacity, and cost, and presenting end to end analysis and options to drive approval of the plan. The Manager, Product Supply Planning will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with Commercial, Product Platform and Demand Planning teams as well as Operations Supply Planning teams. This role will be a critical link between Commercial and Operations leading & facilitating discussions and initiatives for their product(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner to Commercial, Customer Service, Product Management, Demand Planning and translates strategic supply plans into operational supply plans
  • Executes inventory strategies/models for complex global supply chain networks (e.g. make to stock, make to order), gains alignment and implements recommendations.
  • Ensure execution of stocking and planning levels for the network and in alignment with financial goals.
  • Establishes product supply across the global network for product(s) within policy guidance and considering life cycle management, technical transfers, network optimizations and potential supply disruptions.
  • Leads Supply Chain activity for new product introduction planning.
  • Identify and recommend future customer pathways for product mfg.
  • Drive manufacturing sites regarding necessary adjustments to production plans to accommodate forecast changes and assure inventory alignment to strategies; develop measurement systems to track performance.
  • Partners with relevant functions to develop and execute risk/contingency strategies and plans for the supply chain network. Drives mitigation plans.
  • Supports large-scale global crisis, supply disruption and/or allocation & monitors volumes.
  • Supports Commercial with strategic information for customer interactions.
  • Support assessment of new business, sites, etc. and ensures integration and transition of new products resulting from acquisition.
  • Participates in developing supply agreements for customers to ensure alignment of agreements to delivery feasibility.
  • Key leader in the SIOP process articulating supply plan and network performance.
  • Supports new product launches & other life-cycle programs.
  • Supports business process improvement strategies in coordination with CoE.
  • Supports Strategic Plan and Budget Plan development.
  • Ensures available capacity for products both long and mid-term.
  • May serve as primary supply planning representative in external engagements, aligning global supply strategy with operational feasibility and commercial commitments

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree – Required or experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Master's Degree in SCM – Preferred
  • APICS Certification - Preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years supply chain experience in a regulaed industry – Required

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary – exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally. Work involves sitting most of the time.
