Job Summary
The Manager, AI Solutions is an enterprise business-facing leader responsible for identifying, designing, and enabling practical AI-driven solutions across West’s global operations and cross-functional value streams. This role translates business challenges into scalable AI-enabled use cases that improve decision quality, productivity, and process standardization while maintaining alignment to West’s enterprise planning and operational framework. This individual partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Quality, DBI, and IT to ensure AI capabilities are applied responsibly and effectively to solve high-impact business problems. The role builds lightweight AI agents and prototypes where appropriate and collaborates with technical teams for scalable deployment of more advanced solutions. This position drives enterprise adoption of AI-enabled business practices while reinforcing harmonized global standards and measurable value realization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases aligned to enterprise operational and Supply Chain objectives
- Translate business challenges into clearly defined AI-enabled solution requirements
- Design and build lightweight AI agents and workflow automations using approved enterprise tools
- Identify data readiness gaps that limit AI effectiveness and partner cross-functionally to address them
- Support monthly business cadence and operational decision cycles with AI-enabled insights where applicable
- Establish repeatable frameworks for responsible AI usage within business functions
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams for AI-related initiatives
- Measure and communicate value realization, productivity impact, and decision-quality improvements
- Partner with D&T and DBI to transition validated prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions
- Drive enterprise adoption of AI-enabled tools through enablement, documentation, and structured change management
- Ensure AI solutions align with standardized enterprise processes and systems
- Promote an enterprise mindset versus siloed optimization while reinforcing scalable AI practices

Education
- Bachelor's Degree - preference for Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or relevant experience
- MBA Preferred
Work Experience
- 5+ years in Supply Chain, Operations, or AI-related experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience applying AI tools in business environments
- Preference for Global Supply Planning and/or Site/Manufacturing experience
- Preference for experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or other regulated industry
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into AI-enabled solution frameworks
- Proficient in building AI agents, copilots, or workflow automations using enterprise-approved tools
- Experience using generative AI and large language model (LLM) tools, such as ChatGPT (OpenAI), Microsoft Copilot, Claude (Anthropic), or comparable solutions
- Ability to communicate AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to influence without authority
- Data-driven decision framing
- Experience working in global manufacturing environments
- Is curious, agile, engages in new experiences and looks for different perspectives
- Fluent in English and excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policies at all times
