Job Summary:
In this role, you will report to the Senior Planning Manager, you will manage the incoming flow of raw materials through production to provide high quality products and on-time delivery to our customers whilst supporting the development of the supply chain function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate planning and logistics activities relating to customer requirements and in accordance with the
company documented requirements.
- Support the development of the supply chain planning function, providing coaching and training to the
- supply chain planning team.
- Work closely with Business Unit, Account and Purchasing Managers to ensure the lean management of the
- supply chain to our customers. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in connection with the supply chain planning function.
- Liaise directly with customers to understand their requirements and establish schedules/forecasts whilst working closely with production to ensure on-time delivery of finished product to customer.
- Plan and coordinate customer shipments including freight management.
- Responsible for managing MRP System, inventory, and invoicing accuracy through Bills of Materials (BOM),
- Order maintenance etc.
- Identify and control raw materials requirements consumed in the manufacture of finished product through maintenance of MRP.
- Responsible for inventory cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with/supports purchasing and warehousing functions within the plant.
- Ensure compliance to applicable quality requirements. Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and
- Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
- Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
- Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence.
- Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of third level qualification, ideally to degree level, in a relevant business discipline.
- Preferably have a formal Supply Chain Management qualification, eg. APICS, IIPMM or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in production/materials planning.
- Preferably have warehousing and inventory control experience.
- Must have strong experience with ERP systems and be highly computer literate particularly with Excel.
- Must have worked in high volume manufacturing environment, preferably with the plastics, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and take a lead role on projects.
· Must be able to work on their own initiative with strong problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Applies judgment to resolve routine situations.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
- Able to always comply with the company’s quality policy.
- Must be confident with public speaking.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, and use hands and finger to operate office equipment (i.e., phones, computers, copies, etc.).
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites.
- The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet. The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is moderate to loud. Hearing protection is always required in the manufacturing work environment.
- May be required at times to carry equipment/materials- good hand-eye coordination skills.

- This job is classified as sedentary as the candidate will work seated in front of their computer for the majority of their day.
