Title:  Sourcing Manager- Indirect Sourcing

Job Summary

The Sourcing Manager- Indirect Sourcing is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing global category strategies across Legal, Tax, Travel, HR, and other assigned Corporate Services categories. Working within West's Global Procurement Strategic Sourcing and Category Management framework, the role serves as a strategic business partner to corporate functions, driving value creation, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence through effective sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.

This position requires strong procurement expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities to influence business decisions, deliver measurable financial and operational value, and ensure effective governance and compliance across the supplier landscape.

The successful candidate will leverage market intelligence, industry trends, should-cost modelling, benchmarking data, and emerging technologies to improve service delivery, optimize total cost of ownership, and support West's evolving business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Category Strategy

• Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Tax, HR, Travel, Finance, and Corporate Services to understand business priorities and develop sourcing strategies.
• Develop and execute global category strategies that improve supplier performance, reduce risk, optimize costs, and deliver business value.
• Align procurement initiatives with business objectives through effective stakeholder engagement and influence.
• Use spend analytics, market intelligence, benchmarking, and financial analysis to support sourcing decisions and business cases.
• Apply should-cost analysis and cost modeling to validate pricing, support negotiations, and identify savings opportunities.
• Partner with Finance and business leaders on demand forecasting, budgeting, and sourcing plans.
• Challenge demand and specifications to drive standardization, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Leadership & Functional Support

• Promote procurement policies, governance, compliance, and best practices across the organization.
• Drive adoption of sourcing tools, systems, and process improvements.
• Deliver savings, cost avoidance, and value creation targets while ensuring business continuity and service quality.
• Identify innovative sourcing approaches and supplier capabilities that support business objectives.
• Lead supplier relationship and performance management programs, including governance, scorecards, and reviews.
• Maintain a pipeline of sourcing initiatives to deliver sustainable year-over-year value.

Sourcing, Contracting & Supplier Management

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including market assessments, RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and business cases to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, SOWs, pricing models, and SLAs to maximize value and mitigate risk.
• Ensure supplier compliance with contractual, regulatory, and procurement requirements.
• Assess and mitigate supplier risks related to business continuity, information security, data privacy, and service delivery.
• Establish strategic supplier governance through performance reviews and continuous improvement programs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier innovation, and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience

• 5+ years experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement within a global multinational organisation.
• Demonstrated experience managing indirect procurement categories, preferably including Legal, HR, Professional Services, Tax, Consulting, Travel, or Corporate Services.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships across business functions and leadership levels.
• Proven experience developing and executing category strategies, leading sourcing initiatives, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, supplier performance programs, and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen with experience utilizing spend analytics, should-cost modelling, benchmarking, and market intelligence to support sourcing decisions and negotiations.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving change within a matrixed global organization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while effectively collaborating within global teams.
• Adaptable to a multicultural environment and committed to fostering inclusion and diversity across teams and stakeholders.
