Job Summary
This role offers the opportunity to shape and elevate the way Finance operates across the organization. As a leader of the Finance Operational Excellence function, you will drive meaningful process improvements, enhance financial controls, and embed a culture of continuous improvement that directly impacts business performance.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance leaders and global stakeholders, gaining broad visibility while leading initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and enable data-driven decision-making. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to influence strategy, modernize finance operations, and leave a measurable footprint on how Finance delivers value to the enterprise.
In addition, in partnering with our DBI organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing West’s finance transformation agenda, including digital enablement, process modernization, and strengthening enterprise‑wide capital governance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and develop Finance OpEx Operating model for Global Finance Services
- Develop a continuous improvement framework and capability within GFS
- Leverage technology, to enable the finance of the future through enhances process, systems and AI
- Partner with global business process owners and lead to deliver results (e.g. efficiency, profitability) across GFS and Global Business processes by identifying opportunities for process improvement and initiating projects using continuous improvement tools and concepts (six sigma, process mapping, root cause analysis, voice of the customer, etc.)
- Monitor and report on process performance by defining and tracking key metrics and SLAs
- Meet with internal customers and stakeholders to survey and gain actionable feedback
- Apply an analytical/quantitative approach to problem solving by obtaining and using data
- Perform advanced analysis of data looking and identify automation/robotics opportunities
- Lead in development and facilitation of training and process documentation
- Leverage SAP S4 Hana, AI and other RPA/IPA technologies
Work Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of PQE experience
Education
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management or similar field or equivalent experience required
License and Certifications
- Recognized Six Sigma, Kaizen or equivalent qualification preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Finance background
- Previous operational excellence experience with multinational publicly quoted company
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Experience of AI tools an advantage
- Experience with BI and similar reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills i.e. ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of region, division and corporate functions
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively, while managing ambiguity and adapting to changing business needs and priorities
- Project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
