Job Summary
Manages the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities in operation at West. Liaises with external contractors as and when required for the maintenance and repair of same. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is also responsible for using the preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance, repair and up-keep of facility equipment to include building structures and grounds.
- Work with the department leads to troubleshoot equipment/plant problems.
- Establishes relationships with the customers and suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and on-going business development.
- Attends internal meetings as and when required to help establish priorities and assign tasks.
- Solves, in conjunction with the Quality department, customer related problems/issues as and when required.
- Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Perform additional duties at the request of the Facilities Manager and Department Support Lead.
Education
- Time served QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in one of the following - Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering & Roofing or other related Construction disciplines.
- Must have very good overall knowledge of the construction sector and be competent and capable in same.
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years post apprenticeship in the construction sector.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Any other certifications are a plus.
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
- Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy.
- Able to always comply with the company’s quality policy.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and external contractors
- Manufacturing experience is a plus

- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. continuously and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.
Shift
Business Hours: Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5pm, Fridays from 8 am to 4pm.
Extra hours might be required occasionally.
Pay Transparency:
The annual base salary range for this position is €46,400.00 - €59,100.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.
This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
