Job Summary

To support continued rapid business growth and future market development, West Pharmaceutical Services is executing a transformation strategy focused on the standardization, simplification, and centralization of Global Procurement Services. As part of this strategy, a Global Business Centre is being established in Dublin, Ireland.


Reporting to and working closely with the Reporting & Analytics Manager and the broader Procurement leadership team, the successful candidate will join a shared services team responsible for developing reporting solutions and delivering analytical insights to support the Sourcing and Procurement function.


This role will play a key part in the establishment and ongoing development of the Global Procurement Services function in Dublin. The position offers strong career development opportunities through exposure to organizational transformation initiatives and the implementation of advanced information and analytics technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Spend & Cost Analysis
    • Analyze enterprise-wide spend across direct materials, indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures to identify cost reduction, consolidation, and value optimization opportunities.
    • Build and maintain Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models and should-cost models to support supplier negotiations.
    • Maintain savings pipeline dashboards distinguishing negotiated, implemented, and realized savings.
  • Category & Commodity Strategy Support
    • Provide analyses supporting Category Managers during sourcing initiatives across key commodities and spend areas.
    • Provide analytical support in the development, execution, and optimization of category and commodity strategies.
    • Deliver market and commodity insights, including commodity intelligence, pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and risk analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions and cost optimization.
    • Monitor commodity markets (e.g., resins, aluminum, energy, logistics) and quantify financial impact for forecasting and inflation mitigation.
  • Supplier Performance & Risk Analytics
    • Provide data and analytical support for supplier performance reviews (OTIF, service levels…).
    • Generate supplier scorecards and performance dashboards for Category Managers and leadership.
    • Quantify financial and operational impact of supplier performance trends.
    • Support risk identification by analyzing delivery trends, quality performance, and capacity indicators.
    • Assist in preparing data for supplier business reviews and cross-functional discussions.
  • Analytics Standardization & Knowledge Management
    • Coordinate with analysts across teams to develop, standardize, and maintain a centralized library of commonly used analytical tools, commodity insights, and best practices across the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

  • 3rd level qualification or equivalent
  • Previous Shared Service Centre experience with multinational publicly quoted company experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Purchase to pay Processes
  • Experience in data analysis or business intelligence 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of commodity markets and cost drivers
  • Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership modelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP (MM/Ariba or S4 preferred).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, modelling).
  • Excellent communication skills i.e. ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Pay Transparency:

The annual base salary range for this position is €48,312.00 - €61,488.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.

This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
