Job Summary

Lead diverse projects and perform activities related to the Projects and Engineering area, including dimensional surveying of tooling, products, equipment, and building facilities; study construction projects for tooling, machinery, and devices; study and propose new processes and technologies; participate in the development of new machines or improvements to current ones and in the technical certification of new machinery and equipment suppliers; assist in the preparation of investments, financial return, and costing of new products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop designs for tooling, devices, equipment, products, layout, and industrial facilities.

  • Study construction projects for tooling, machinery, and devices.

  • Study and propose new processes and technologies.

  • Participate in the development of new production machines and/or technical improvements to current ones, preparing technical specifications and participating in the technical development and certification of new machinery and equipment suppliers.

  • Coordinate dimensional surveying of tools, molds, products, equipment, building facilities, and layout according to project needs.

  • Coordinate the preparation of investment proposals, financial returns, and costing of new products in conjunction with the finance department.

  • Manage electronic and physical archives of project technical documentation.

  • Manage project execution and third-party services, monitoring execution on-site, evaluating quality, costs, deadlines, and alignment with the budget, providing status reports to internal clients and stakeholders.

  • Consult and utilize technical standards for project development and detailing.

  • Develop bidding/procurement processes for project needs (services, consultancy, acquisition of materials or equipment) in partnership with the procurement department (technical and commercial alignment).

  • Communicate and consult with SMEs (Site Manager Specialists) regarding the development of new equipment or facilities under their responsibility, as well as participate in meetings and improvement discussions across West sites.

  • Execute and ensure that Change Control and risk processes for projects under their responsibility comply with established procedures and metrics.

  • Ensure that the entire validation process complies with company-established procedures and metrics (Matrix, FAT, SAT, IOQ, and PQ).

  • Maintain the confidentiality of information under their responsibility.

  • Ensure the maintenance and integrity of equipment and tools under their responsibility, reporting any abnormalities to superiors.

  • Ensure workplace safety.

  • Understand and act in compliance with Quality Policy requirements.

  • Observe, comply with, and enforce Internal Safety Rules.

  • Observe, comply with, and enforce role-related responsibilities outlined in departmental Work Procedures and Instructions.

  • Observe, comply with, and enforce standards and regulations contained in the company's Code of Business Conduct.

Education

Bachelor's Degree / Higher Education Completed

DEGREE / FIELD OF STUDY: Engineering, Technology, or related fields.

Work Experience

  • General industrial projects

  • Advanced English

  • Basic knowledge of measuring instruments

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
