Job Summary

The SAP Basis administrator is responsible for the implementation, administration & maintenance of West Pharma’s SAP & Non-SAP landscape. The candidate should be proficient in performance tuning, troubleshooting and proactive maintenance with the goal of providing excellent system reliability, performance, along with maintaining system integrity and maximize uptime. Working in a global technical team, the candidate should be flexible to adapt to dynamic environments, motivated to drive daily operations, recommendations and management of improvement initiatives across the landscape.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage/Administer West Pharma's portfolio of SAP & Non-SAP applications globally.
Expertise in all areas of Application Life Cycle Management like installation, system upgrades, OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages along with daily maintenance and production support.
Maintain the integrity of the SAP & Non-SAP environments by managing the correction and transport system (CTS) to ensure all configuration objects are promoted properly.
Provide technical support for SAP issues like system dumps, job management, printer & spool administration along with enabling SAP user community in all matters related to SAP.
Perform system refreshes, client copies and server migrations.
Performing scheduled maintenance activities as aligned.
Adherence to SAP Basis on-call support.
Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

Education

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or
Bachelor's Degree Business administration required

Work Experience

Minimum 3 years 3-5 years of experience in related fields required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

SAP Basis L2/L3 level support with expertise in administering latest SAP applications.
Strong technical skills in implementation and support of SAP applications with MS SQL/Oracle/HANA & Win/Linux environments.
Strong analytical & problem-solving ability along with excellent communication skills.
Proven experience supporting/administering latest SAP HANA based environments.
Exposure to Cloud environments like Azure will be a plus.
Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
Flexibility to work outside of working hours and on-call support.

License and Certifications

Travel Requirements

5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
