Title:  Principal Sol Architect,D&T,SAP PP

Job Summary

The Principal Solution Architect, D&T, SAP-Plan to Produce collaborates with Production, Operations, Supply Chain functions to define, deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions.  This role will also help define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for Production planning .  This role has primary accountability for the delivery of Plan to Produce including project delivery, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Possesses deep understanding of the overall vision and business needs and utilizes this knowledge to collaborate with Production, operations and Supply Chain to define detailed business requirements for D&T enablement of business needs. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices.
• Utilizes knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver SAP S4HANA Production planning & APO – DP, SNP solutions, doing so in partnership with other domains. This includes interpreting up to the most complex issues and recommending solutions or best practices.
• Spearhead the mapping of map business requirements to optimal technical solutions.
• Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements.
• Create and maintain project charters and plans, capital requests, budgeting and project management in accordance with the Project and Portfolio Management process and West policies and procedures.
• Uses breadth of expertise to solve complex problems.  Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP-SAP S4 Hana Services Delivery model, West policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP.
• Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids.
• Work within and participates in the Change Control process.

Additional Responsibilities

Education

• Bachelor's Degree degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems required

Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years 8-10 years of related work experience, i.e., 4 or more full implementations of SAP required
• Agile and Scrum Certification, ITIL and SAP Certification preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• • Deep expertise, understanding and knowledge of SAP – system functionality and technical understanding of SAP S4HANA Production planning, Manufacturing, APO, Supply Chain and related areas (QM, PM, MM, PP)
  • Should have experience in integrating SAP S5HANA and APO DP, SNP system.
  • SAP S4 HANA knowledge required, ideally actively involved in implementation of production planning, PPDS, APO – DP, SNP on S4 HANA-1909
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
