Job Summary
We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer, D&T, Azure/Cloud to help build modern cloud-native applications and digital solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role is ideal for an early-career software engineer who is interested in Azure cloud technologies, full-stack application development, microservices, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.
The Associate Software Engineer will work with senior engineers, solution architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to develop secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise applications. The role also provides exposure to Applied AI capabilities, intelligent automation, Azure AI Services, and AI-assisted application development to build next-generation digital solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and full-stack software solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Build and enhance web applications, backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and reusable application components.
- Develop solutions using Azure PaaS services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Support the design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of enterprise applications following cloud-native and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile delivery, sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, testing, and release activities.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployments using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable applications following enterprise architecture, security, and cloud governance standards.
- Monitor application health, telemetry, logging, and performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Contribute to prototypes, proof of concepts, and production-ready cloud solutions.
- Assist in integrating Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, intelligent automation, or AI-powered capabilities into enterprise applications where appropriate.
- Document technical designs, implementation details, testing results, and operational procedures.
- Learn and apply modern engineering practices across Azure, cloud platforms, DevOps, observability, and Applied AI.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred required
Work Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in software engineering, application development, cloud technologies, or related technical roles.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and Azure PaaS services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Logic Apps, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Familiarity with C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Node.js, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture, cloud-native application development, and RESTful API design.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Azure Container Registry, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, logging, and application telemetry.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), identity management, and application security.
- Exposure to Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, intelligent document processing, or AI-assisted application development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Angular, React, or other modern front-end frameworks is an advantage.
- Internship, academic project, or early work experience involving Azure cloud, enterprise application development, DevOps, or Applied AI.
- Awareness of secure coding, privacy, responsible AI, and enterprise software development practices.
- Foundational programming experience in C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or similar technologies.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, REST APIs, databases, Git, and cloud computing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative global team environment.
License and Certifications
- Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
Travel Requirements
Shift
Regular work hours are 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST to support collaboration with global stakeholders and counterparts across time zones
