Job Summary:

Assists the Production Supervisor with coordination of training, coaching, and developing employees utilizing technical competencies

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination of training and coaching to Production Operators to ensure quality standards and maintained.  
  • Provides training for production floor employees, ensures proper manufacturing procedures are followed including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Work Instructions (WI’s).
  • Delivers group and individual instruction covering a range of technical and operational areas. 
  • Assists with onboarding activities covering topics such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, and facility orientation.
  • Ensure Training program maintains compliance to applicable training SOPs and Regulatory requirements. 
  • Assists the Shift Supervisor with evaluation of production employees.  Provides input and recommendations for performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates with the other Production Leads and Shift Supervisor on all production and personnel matters as needed to meet training objectives.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Less than 3 years

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience: Minimum two years in manufacturing. Preferably in plastics injection molding as a competent operator/inspector.
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites. If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues. Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet. The ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
