Onsite position: Shift 4: 12 hrs shift starting at 5.30pm EST.  Wednesday, Thurs, Friday, every other Saturday

Job Summary:

Plans and coordinates the daily activities of employees assigned areas to insure efficient production. Responsible for making sure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in the areas of safety, quality and cost control.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor day-to-day operation of production employees
  • Manage employee hours/schedules to make sure production schedules are met and costs are controlled
  • Participate in the scheduling process to assure daily production schedules and orders are completed on a timely basis.
  • Effectively implements production plans and performance criteria; runs shift meetings; confirms production progress; responds to delays; takes corrective actions; records KPI performance.
  • Advises department management and impacted departments on matters relating to daily operations and makes recommendations for improvements when feasible.
  • Performs/ensures investigations and document corrections/modifications are done effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the training and develop of employees through establishment of performance objectives
  • Develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of rules and policies while building employee morale and motivation.
  • Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, administers discipline, insures positive employee relations and reviews the performance of direct reports.
  • Maintains time and attendance records for direct reports. 
  • Continuously improves shift performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.
  • Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE by employees and promoting good safety practices and habits.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies, cGMP’s, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Recommends and implements value and process improvement programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience - Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to directly supervise 10 or more employees
  • Good communication and employee relations skills
  • Effective analytical,  problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Coaching/training skills to be able to train and motivate employees
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient in computer use including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Knowledge of FDA regulatory guidelines, cGMP, and ISO requirements preferred
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

 

Physical and Travel Requirements

  • Manufacturing environment
  • 10% travel or less
  • Occasionally required to work on different shifts.
  • Regularly uses hands and fingers to operate objects, tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to stand, talk and hear for periods of time.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
