Job Summary:

Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing engineering team and the production team.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist manufacturing engineering with new equipment start up and debug.
  • Write process specifications for new processes.
  • Process test runs and prepare records, charts and graphs of results for engineering presentations.
  • Identify yield problems, report daily and weekly charts for equipment efficacy.
  • Follow problem solving techniques.
  • Train and assist production floor with equipment set up and process specification revisions.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment; take necessary steps to document changes to the process equipment.
  • Assist Quality Assurance group on individual customer quality problems
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
  • Lead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Less than 3 years
  • Experience: Minimum two years in manufacturing.  2+ years of medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Machine shop, machine assembly, design, control logic basics, AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Direct Reports: None

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Knowledge of basic principle of SPC
  • Computer literate
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
