Job Summary:

In this role you will perform a wide variety of duties connected with general equipment and

building maintenance, and repair work such as carpentry, welding, plumbing, pipe fitting,

electrical, millwright work, general repairs and maintenance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose equipment trouble. Work from blueprints, schematic drawings, handbooks, supervisory

direction and outside advisors as necessary, to put equipment into proper operating condition.

• Move and install plant equipment. Level and align as necessary.

• Perform general plumbing and pipe fitting operations on water, and air lines; trace out issue’s and

make necessary repairs; install new or alter existing lines. repair leaks, valves, traps.

• Should have ability to operate boiler and boiler controls.

• Perform a normal range of plant carpentry.

• Perform electrical work such as installing, repairing, and replacing controls, rewire equipment and

building facilities. Diagnose and locate source of electrical difficulty. Test and balance circuits.

• Use welding equipment, drill press, and other shop equipment to repair or fabricate equipment

parts.

• Direct and instruct work of Maintenance II and Maintenance III personnel.

• Detect and report operating difficulties or specific problems to proper supervision. Observe good

housekeeping practices and prescribed safety precautions.

• New installations and modifications to existing facilities equipment to be done in compliance with

OSHA and local government regulations.

• To update and maintain OSHA log or government records as directed.

• Must comply with all Company work policies.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Safety Equipment:

• Steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses or applicable PPE based on task.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3 – 5 years of experience in carpentry, welding, plumbing, pipe fitting, millwright work and have a background in low and high electrical (24v DC To 480 V-3 phase).

• Must have valid driver’s license

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position

covered by this Job Description

• Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target

• Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
