Job Summary:

In this role, you will be accountable for managing key projects and programs for Globally.  Direct and oversees all Operational, and Technical activities involving Industrialization and Scaleup of key Projects and Programs.  Ensure programs remain on track financially, scope is managed, and most importantly Safety & Quality is delivered. This role will be responsible for identifying and managing cross-project dependencies, critical items, risks, and issues. Communicate at all levels of the organization and be responsible for recognizing and engaging key stakeholders quickly and early in the process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee key activities and projects/programs Globally within Operations
  • Lead overall Project support at an Operations level – primarily scaleup and industrialization.
  • Ability to manage cross functionally & globally major initiatives, projects & programs as needed.
  • Align with current I&T New Product Developments and lead as Operations representation as a Core Team Member for New Products
  • Project lead ensuring New Products are supported through Development and as commercialization begins – ensure Operational needs (SCM, Production, Quality, etc.) are all aligned within the production site.
  • Provide input and ownership for Operations needs to new product design, ensure DfMA is completed for New Products. 
  • Provide guidance and oversight to direct and indirect resources functioning as core team leads (CTORs) for Operations.
  • Champion and enable the use of PMO tools within West.
  • Foster & encourage shared learnings across projects/ programs.
  • Ensure deliverables of the PDP are met and operational metrics are achieved for each NPD.
  • Institute and ensure implementation of training programs to ensure personnel are proficient in performance of assigned duties.
  • Provide technical support for prototyping, qualification, and validation of tooling.
  • Working in partnership with design development &/or other outside vendors, manage the assessment of product design from a design for manufacturing standpoint.
  • Working in partnership with Quality and Engineering assist in the development of design risk assessment & management program, including dFMEA & Tolerance Analysis.
  • Assist Engineering in the development of gap analysis to ensure resources are aligned with program priorities & schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a Project Management Organization
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Program Management within a Matrix Organization
  • Manufacturing of Medical Device, Medical Components, or other equivalent product
  • Must have experience in high volume, highly regulated manufacturing operations, ideally in the medical, packaging or technological industry sectors.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Master’s degree or pursuant of a master’s degree Preferred
  • Professional Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience of selection and management of key suppliers.
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.


Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time
