Job Summary:

In this role you will perform inspection, testing, and release of in-process and finished goods materials, investigate issues concerning defects identified during production, perform trace back to isolate potential defective product, and keep control of any defective product or rejected material in a quarantine cage, release finished goods product in SAP and use measuring and testing equipment to assure product meets internal and customer specifications.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling, inspections, and testing of in-process and finished goods products per applicable procedures
  • Release acceptable in-process and finished goods product for further processing
  • Understand and follow applicable ISO standards requirements (ISO 15378 and 9001)
  • Perform review of inspection records to assure product conforms to specifications and proper documentation practices
  • Maintain all applicable documents to form batch records
  • Perform approval of rework and sorted product
  • Keep retain samples
  • Scan batch records, if applicable
  • Print documents from Master Control
  • Manage documents related to the Quality System
  • Segregate nonconforming product
  • Handle quarantined product and raw materials
  • Perform and check manual data entry
  • Generate rejection and deviation reports
  • Perform trace back investigation of nonconforming raw material and product.
  • Perform calibration of measuring devices, if applicable.
  • Make sure that latest version of procedures and forms are in use and collaborate with document revisions.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent, minimum requirement  
  • Prior Quality and cGMP knowledge preferred

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must distinguish defective material, product, and samples per selected acceptance sampling plan
  • Must comply with all work rules
  • Must not present a threat to the safety or health of the worker or others
  • Must observe good housekeeping practices and prescribed safety precautions
  • Inspection and Test Equipment which include: calipers, micrometers, comparators, height gages, Go/No-Go gages, Force testers, and computers used to measure and monitor the manufacturing process.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Safety glasses, hairnet/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, safety shoes
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Non-US only where required for certain levels

 

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to various chemicals and alcohol fumes
  • Must meet overtime requirements as specified in overtime plant policy.
