The incumbent is responsible for carrying out the out the functions of any role trained to do, to the best of their ability.  Is aware of all relevant procedures as per company policy that apply to the position covered by this job description.  Able to produce product of the correct quality and quantity.  Is able available for work at the required times as defined by their shift pattern.   Where trained, carry out any task as requested by the Shift Supervisor or their deputy.




The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility for quality according to the company’s quality policy and conducts his/her activities in accordance with the company quality procedures at all times.

Comply with company cGMP regulations.


Health and Safety


To ensure that the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and other safety Regulations are upheld throughout the site and factory reporting any irregularities to your line manager.

Report near miss accidents or incidents at the earliest opportunity in the appropriate report books.

Be compliant with any machine instructions, & responsible for the proper use of all equipment assets within the work area.

Ensure that your work area(s) are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

Ensure correct use of PPE





Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

Competent in written and verbal use of the English language

Competent in basic numeracy




Technical Operator apprenticeship or similar

Level 2 Health & Safety accreditation

Full knowledge of West products and their functions

English Language Level 2 qualification (written and verbal)

Numeracy Level 2 qualification
