Job Summary:
This position supports the Toolshop department and Manufacturing team activities to achieve the established goals & KPIs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating of CNC machine to fabricate new mold and other related component for production tooling.
  • Involves the programming and operation of CNC to achieve optimal machine capability to produce molds and related component for production needs.
  • To resolve any mold related to defective, incapable and malfunction in timely and effectively.
  • To ensure all defective tooling are repaired and achieve to optimal performance and quality.
  • Perform machining and milling of machine parts.
  • Service and installation of trim dies and molds on Komatsu presses and mold presses relatively to obtain optimal process condition and meeting our products quality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of trim dies and compression molds to ensure the tooling’s are in good condition
  • To perform mold check and straightening when require.
  • To resolve technical issues to minimize the disruption to production.
  • Assist in trouble shooting related to defective products, timely and effectively.
  • Dismantle tools (dies & molds) that due for servicing. (sharpening, cleaning).
  • For trim dies, dismantle and perform full servicing including sharpening, Chamfering of die plate, change of parts and alignments of die according to standard procedures.
  • Assist in overhauling end of die life and replacement of punches and die block with new rebuild kit.
  • Maintain an effective communication between shift.
  • Ensure proper completion of document and records.
  • Assist superior in document control.
  • Assist superior in spare part management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
  • Area owner for dedicated parts of toolshop (as assigned by the supervisor)
  • Conduct regular internal audits/spotchecks to check for compliance
  • Be the in-charge person for their representative shift
  • At all times adhere to Company rules, regulations and polic
  • Quality: The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility for quality and conducts his/her activities in accordance with the Company quality policy at all times.
    • Work on cGMP standards as required by the Company.
    • Ensure good 5S and housekeeping are maintained at all time in the work areas
    • Ensure that tooling’s & equipment use conform to the requirements of our customers and meet full customer satisfaction.
    • Activities performed to ensure that products are cost effective without prejudice to the required standard of performance, reliability and quality.
    • Adhering to process and procedures that apply to quality.
  • SOP: The job holder is aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Safety: The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility towards health and safety in accordance with the company’s safety policy at all times;
    • Ensure all necessary safety features are checked and tested according to the requirements before start operation / hand over process.
    • Promptly report any malfunction safety features to Superior immediately for corrective action.
    • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Work safety by not causing unsafe conditions or doing unsafe acts.
    • Adhering to the processes and procedures that apply to health and safety conformance.
  • Lean: Support and contribute actively in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
    • Support Lean Sigma initiatives and actively drive for waste reduction and quality improvement.   
    • Support the establishment of systems to measure and drive for quality and people performance ensure the continuous improvement of the performance in all areas.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Preferably with NTC / NITEC in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preferably, 3-5 years setting experience and able to operate grinding, milling and lathe machine.
  • Basic Microsoft Office / CAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Able to speak, write, and read basic English

  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
