Job Summary:

To support the Strategic Marketing Director to develop and execute the segment marketing plan that is aligned to global and regional strategy. Guide and support functional teams like Sales, TCS and SA on high potential opportunity and strategic key customer with market insight and promotional events.  To develop business that will create great value for West.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute segment marketing strategies and plans in direct liaison with the global/ regional marketing team(s) for assigned products and services
  • Lead and conduct regular review of key customers and pipelines within the market segment(s) assigned to track progress, identify gaps/opportunities and to support the business growth with allocated resources
  • Responsible for market development activities of new products and services until transfer to Sales team
  • Identify trends in the pharmaceutical market that may impact West products and services
  • Identify market needs and recommend products and services to meet those needs
  • Stay abreast on competitive activities and market developments to recommend and implement actions of management
  • Manage all local promotional activities and materials (e.g. exhibitions, promotional samples, brochures)
  • Organize promotional technical seminars for identified target audience and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Ensure the implementation of product plans
  • Develop and build close relationships with key customer contacts
  • Close collaboration with Sales, R&D and TCS teams to ensure successful implementation of marketing plans
  • Any other relevant duties and projects assigned

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, Pharmacy, Business and/or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant B2B marketing experience in a multinational company serving the pharmaceutical, medical device, life science and/or related industry
  • Professional marketing credentials for non-business degree holders preferred
  • MBA from an internationally recognized university preferred, but not a must

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent English and Chinese language competency skills in both verbal and written forms
  • A go-getter and self-starter who is results oriented
  • Analytical and possesses the ability to work independently
  • Expertise and familiarity in digital marketing and e-commerce (preferably in a B2B setting)
  • Good rapport and negotiation skills with customers and other KOLs
  • Accurate judgment of business opportunities
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; is a team player
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
