POSITION SUMMARY: Support the process operations engineering group by evaluating and implementing new equipment through validations and involvement in process improvement projects.  Ensure compliance with all environment and safety regulations. Support a 24/7 molding operations environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide daily process support to the production facilities as required. Requires working knowledge of all injection molding processing equipment (i.e.: materials, molding, tooling, etc…)
  • Work with project engineers/process engineers to ensure successful evaluation of all new equipment / process improvements.
  • Assist with the installation and validation of new equipment/process development through SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Use of statistical methods and good documentation skills to ensure validations are completed with the required information
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work flexible hours and support business needs if required. 
  • Develops, recommends and implements corrective action to improve efficiencies.
  • Work within timelines to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Write and execute testing protocols and validation protocols for Materials Engineering, Process/Product Engineering.
  • Complete project status reports and communicate to responsible engineers/project teams
  • Provide process support to the production facilities as required. Requires working knowledge of all injection molding processing equipment (i.e.: materials, molding, tooling, etc…)
  • Observe all company Policies and Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Perform SAP functions for processing manufacturing orders (ordering raw material, receiving, shipping, etc.).
  • Required to perform troubleshooting and maintenance activities as necessary
  • Provide direction and training to other technicians as required
  • Some travel is required.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High School or Equivalent working experience

  • Prefer Associates degree or working toward qualifications in technical discipline. 6-10 years’ gained experience through process technician experience qualify.

Experience: 6-10 years

  • 6-10 years of Injection molding processing experience. Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and lean principles. 
  • Additional requirements include statistical process control methods, thorough documentation and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.). Knowledge of validations, IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Master Molder certificate 1/2                                                                                                              
  • Minimum: Must currently hold or previous held molding certification
  • A demonstrated aptitude for leadership skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and lean principles.
