Job Summary:

In this role, you will be a member of the global Op Excellence team. You will be a business partner with the Global Operations group, supporting critical medical device value streams.  Develop the OpEx capability of manufacturing and engineering personnel. Identify and improve critical processes necessary to achieve annual targets. Assure the production processes are repeatable and capable of meeting specifications. Provide methods of reliably reporting improvement status. Support West Business System workstreams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integrates with existing global Op Excellence team members
  • Incorporates West Business System and principles into HVP value streams
  • Provides technical guidance, training, coaching and mentoring to improvement leads, engineers, and manufacturing teams
  • Develops robust, capable systems necessary to achieve the strategic goals and objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or recognized equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma Manufacturing Principles and at least 3 years as an Operational Excellence Manager or equivalent
  • Certified Black Belt
  • Must be proficient in SAP, all MS Office applications, Mini-tab, and other statistical software programs

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time

 

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must have good interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to interface with all departments and team member levels
  • Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsets
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgements.
