This is a remote role which can be based either in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy or UK.

 

Job summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts and growing new business. Moreover, you will grow the business profitability through successful selling and promotion of both core and value-added products and services. The development of a thorough understanding of both new and assigned accounts’ business objectives, products and related market activities are also part of your assignments. You will conduct team selling and involve West resources aligned to the appropriate customer touch points. Lastly, you are a self-starter who is able to manage and grow business with a large number of accounts.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and existing customers through promotion of West products and services
  • Propose strategy for the relevant accounts of the assigned portfolio
  • Ensure profitable business growth in accordance with the company objectives, identifying and fulfilling customer / prospects needs through efficient and effective account management and using the know-how and resources of the company
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date, strong knowledge of products, services, system policies and markets
  • Develop strong relationships with customers / all necessary departments and people at the customer, identifying key players (e.g. influencers or decision makers)
  • Ensure clear understanding of customer requirements and bring this through the company
  • Cross functional dialogue and interaction within both West and the customer. Working with teams to problem solve and message a potential West solution
  • Global interactions and coordination with other Account Manager’s especially on the Global Accounts
  • Prepare the budget figures for the related accounts, maintain and update the customer record system as well as the forecast in the planning report system
  • Provide account information internally in the Company regarding i.e. marketplace, competitors, regulations, trends, developments, needs

 

Your Profile:

  • You own a degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience including Key Account Management for large and multinational Accounts and a proven track record in B to B sales
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, medical devices or similar is a plus
  • You are a team player who is motivated to work in an international, cross-functional environment
  • You describe yourself as self-organized and possess time management and prioritization skills as well as excellent customer relationship management skills
  • You are flexible for European and global business travels
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills round off your profile
  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral) are required, skills of another European language would be a plus
