Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for all Maintenance and Asset Management programs, globally.

In congress with the Senior Manager, Global Manufacturing Maintenance, Asset Management lead a global approach for Preventive maintenance, Asset Management, Overhaul and Global spare-part Management.

Create globally aligned process for maintenance of standard key equipment and share this with the sites.

Establish a strategy for global spare parts including standardization of spare parts, use and allocation process.

Develop maintenance task list for equipment and collaborate across the Global Manufacturing Engineering team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Maintenance and Overhaul projects, assure that all Asset Management and overhaul related targets, mainly focused on risk mitigation and cost savings
  • Lead equipment criticality studies for new and existing equipment
  • Standardize Maintenance plans, coordinate with the sites and develop a global approach
  • Support the Maintenance Capex budget process along with periodic reviews and measures
  • Setup Maintenance management routines
  • Apply reliability engineering principles to achieve increase uptime and process capability across the network
  • Drive, create and implement Global Spare Parts Management program – develop the needed tools to become a strong process which can be used for new and existing equipment
  • Propose installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment to improve quality and throughput or reduce machine costs
  • Work with the sites and the local Engineering Network to increase machine availability, reliability and control machine lifetime cost
  • Support SAP PM projects for Global Engineering, work with the sites and the Engineering Network
  • Lead the efforts towards continuous improvement in quality, service and costs
  • Prepare reports as may be required by ensuring reporting data is accurate and complete
  • Train and mentor the engineering and site maintenance teams
  • Organize and participate to network meetings
  • To perform the principal duties, the most frequently required contacts are with:
    • Global Equipment SME
    • Global Maintenance Master Data Specialist
    • Mgr, Gl Manuf Eng, SME Network
    • Global Engineering Manager Machine Safety
    • Global Process SME
    • Project Managers
    • Site teams
  •  Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field experience
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Maintenance, Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams and setting up CMMS systems


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering
  • Advanced working knowledge of maintenance systems
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
    • Basic knowledge of Safety standards including CE, OSHA and other similar applicable standards based on regional requirements
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
    • Working knowledge of applicable federal and international regulations such as 21CFR Parts 210, 211 preferred.  GLP and GMP experience preferred
    • The job holder respects all specifications arising from the cGMP requirements and from the specifications DIN ISO 15378 and DIN EN ISO 9001 as per its current state and also as it applies to any future amendments


Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time


Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to work with leadership teams at network manufacturing sites
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgements
  • Self-starter and independent worker with proficiency in English, an additional language would be a plus
  • Maintain competency and state-of-art knowledge, act as a technical expert on maintenance
