Job Summary:


In this role, you will be a part of West IL Supply Chain team and assume direct responsibilities for materials availability in production of West IL Admin systems products. Part of the role will be to assume also responsibilities for planning, purchasing, logistics (Export/Import) materials, as well as supporting various Supply Chain activities as required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Direct responsibility and accountability for raw material (RM) availability on production floor for all manufacturing sites
  • Be accountable for West IL org. RM inventory levels to meet organization financial targets.
  • Lead and build procurement plan for materials taking in consider West procedures
  • Lead materials cost savings initiatives 
  • Responsible for MRP reports across the org
  • Build and own materials inventory policy
  • Manage safety stock levels to meet production plan in accordance to inventory targets
  • Interface with relevant functions for artwork approval prior to issuing Pos for graphics items
  • Issue Purchase Orders, via the ERP system for materials purchasing
  • Manage materials shipments and import from vendors’ sites to West IL locations
  • Track deliveries plan from suppliers and CM’s to West IL and inform in a timely manner on any delays
  • Maintain fluent control and follow up on suppliers and CM’s activities related to West products
  • Transfer materials between sites to balance inventory levels as needed
  • Approve invoices of suppliers and service providers
  • Act as the focal point for suppliers in aspects related to routine direct materials replenishment
  • Responsible for materials planning process in SAP



Basic Qualifications: 

  • B.Sc in Industiral Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in materials planning, procurement and inventory management
  • Proven experience of interfacing in production and industrial environment
  • Experience in ERP system – preferably Priority and SAP
  • Experience in International transportation


Preferred Knowledge, languages, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability of working in intensive and challenging environment
  2. Ability of working in intensive interface with vendors and manufacturing
  3. High learning ability
  4. Knowledge of ERP tools – MRP runs / PO’s management
  5. Good human relations skills and motivated team player
  6. Good organization skills
  7. Analytical strength and autonomous, self-reliant and pro-active work style in challenging environment
  8. Fluent English – speaking / reading / writing

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent local drives to West IL CM’s sites and between West IL locations
  • Willingness to intl travel to vendors upon request or need
