In this role, you will provide project and West Business system support at manufacturing sites.  Develop the capability of manufacturing, administrative groups and improvement leaders through training, mentoring and coaching.  Coordinate strategic planning, including goal and objective development.  Identify and improve critical processes necessary to achieve annual targets.  Assure that production processes are repeatable and capable of meeting specifications.  Provide methods of reliably reporting the status of improvement metrics.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and support of the West Business System (WBS), with the goal of sustaining operational standards
  • Ensure the consistent and uniform application of OPEX tools across regional sites
  • Conduct Maturity Model assessments (gap analysis) and facilitate development of action plans across the manufacturing sites
  • Develop robust, capable systems necessary to achieve the strategic goals and cost down goals
  • Provide technical guidance, training, coaching and mentoring to improvement leaders and manufacturing teams
  • Competent to teach lean topics, Yellow Belt and Green Belt training
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs
  • Conforms with & abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, & safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Statistics concentration, Business or recognized equivalent
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience
  • 8 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment, and a minimum five years related experience in Lean Six Sigma application
  • Strong interpersonal/leadership skills and be able to interface with all levels of organization
  • Must have formal scientific thinking and problem-solving skillsets – PDCA, A3, Practical Problem Solving, Lean Six Sigma
  • Software skills including MS Office applications, Minitab, Engine Room, SAP or other MRP system

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior manufacturing experience in medical device industry preferred.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification preferred
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
