Perform a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic services.  Provide support for problem solving, performance evaluation/improvement, design modifications, and documentation for new and existing equipment.  Additional duties include, but are not limited to, new equipment specifying/ordering/purchasing, facility implementation/integration, development of preventative maintenance plans, and author/execute validation protocols.  Develop and/or provide technical training on established procedures for new and existing equipment as necessary. Management of personnel for equipment and process implementation will be required.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•            Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements

•            Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management

•            Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors to ensure they meet needs

•            Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards

•            Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates

•            Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements

•            Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems

•            Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions

•            Controls project costs by monitoring expenditures

•            Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions

•            Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

•            Maintains project data base

•            Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and goals as needed


Basic Qualifications:

•            Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required

•            5+ years of project experience

•            Experience with large manufacturing facilities

•            Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Microsoft Project

•            Design skills

•            Project management

•            Technical understanding

•            Documentation skills

•            Safety management

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•            cGMP knowledge.

•            Ability to manage and document startup team members

•            Self-motivated and solution-oriented personality

•            Good communication and interpersonal skills

•            Good organizational skills

•            Effective problem-solving skills

•            Working experience with Microsoft Office, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP

Travel Requirements:

•            <10% as needed


Physical and Mental Requirements:

•            While performing the duties of this job on the production floor, the employee regularly stands, walks, talks, and hears

•            Noise level in the work environment while on the production floor is usually moderate to loud

•            Must be self-motivated, must have excellent people skills, written and verbal communication, problem solving, coaching, training, relationship building, managing resistance and project management skills

•            Must follow and comply with company dress and hygiene policies and procedures

•            Must follow and comply with all company and plant policies, procedure (SOIs), rules and State and Federal law
