Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the HVP Sr. Process Engineer/Process Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for engineering support, creating and editing documentation, validations, Engineering Studies, troubleshooting and process improvement in the HVP department.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute validation protocols for Engineering Studies, PMs, Annual Validations, and new machine/process qualifications.
  • Support investigations for Deviations, Complaints, OOS’
  • Complete A3/A4 investigations and utilize RCA
  • Support the necessary functions for new item set up at Kinston
  • Develop, validate, and train personnel on HVP process operations as necessary.
  • Provide floor level troubleshooting of issues with production software applications (Shop Floor, Infinity).
  • Collaborate with other engineering departments and Global Engineering team for implementing best practices.
  • Seek out and lead implementation of improvements associated with related projects and processes.
  • Initiate and track change controls associated with process changes and projects.
  • Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training, and regulations.
  • Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
  • Perform additional duties at the request of the direct manager.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in a suitable engineering subject and/or at least 4 years’ relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of inventory lot control principles
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting and support in investigations
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to accurately document work performed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as well as take a hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Must be able to travel as required by the position.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks; must be detail orientated and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work independently on own projects while working concurrently with all departments and levels of employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Including Outlook, Word, Excel, & Power Point)


Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or other heavily regulated industry
  • Proficiency in Infinity SPC software
  • Previous SAP experience
  • Experience with formal root cause/corrective action analysis tools and techniques
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.
