Support the operation of scheduling, material handling, shipping/receiving/warehouse and materials purchasing. Provide guidance and support to these functions to receive supplies on time, get them distributed effectively, schedule manufacturing areas in order to maximize resources and meet consumer needs, distribute materials to the proper areas in a timely manner, monitor inventory levels to maintain within guidelines. Constantly evaluate and seek ways to improve the effectiveness of above functions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels on safety stock, WIP, raw materials and constantly review
  • Analyze demand trends and inventory on a regular basis with the goal of optimal inventory quantities on a rolling basis
  • Support customer demands with tasks such as creating purchase orders, scheduling process orders, and creating shipment deliveries
  • Analyze and guide the efforts of the facility with the objective of maximizing material usage, minimizing WIP and getting orders out on schedule in the most efficient manner
  • Generate late order reports and investigate/escalate opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis
  • Evaluate forms, procedures, practices, flows, etc. on an ongoing basis with the objective of constantly improving
  • Perform weekly Gemba Walks and participate in Lean improvement initiatives.
  • Regularly evaluate personnel requirements to maximize utilization of personnel
  • Perform other duties as required or directed


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering, or Business
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years plant systems experience
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • APICS/ASCM Certification
  • SAP Planning experience



  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
