Job Summary:

To work as a team member to process High Value Products (HVP) through the HVP process with minimal assistance from management or engineering. Support the activities of the pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including Westar RS, Westar RU and Envision.  The HVP Process Technician will support operations and provide support to the day to day activities in the process.  Ideal candidates are quick thinking and confident to ensure consistent processing and foresight to know the next task required.  Ideal candidates have previous cGMP experience


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Engineering for projects relating to Customers such as DAs, Customer specific projects, strategic initiatives and other duties as required
  • Support the daily production activities to ensure the highest quality, support and develop process improvements and ensure production is under a state of control
  • Complete tooling changes and cleaning activities on the Envision machines
  • Support Process, Vision engineer(s) and Vision engineering technicians(s) as required
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support maintenance with troubleshooting HVP process equipment (Pack lines, Vision machines, Sterilizers, i.e.)
  • Hold qualifications in HVP process areas to include but not limited to vision, RU, and final pack
  • Adhere to all company policies.
  • Must observe all good housekeeping practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs as directed by Area Manager(s), Production Manager and/or Director, Ops.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.
  • May function as a HVP operator when not acting as technician.

Education and Experience:

  • Must pass pre-employment assessment.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Must possess an acute attention to detail and be able to communicate.
  • Proficient in West’s Shop Floor applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
